With more than 30 years of roof consulting experience, Bob Alford oversees the Company, creates design and specification criteria, develops construction documents and manages marketing and public relations activities. He founded Amtech in 1982.
From 1970 to 1979, Alford worked for Roofing Consultants, Inc. as vice president. He was responsible for evaluating new roofing materials, supervising the design department and supporting major litigation and renovation projects.
In 1974, Alford earned an associate’s degree in construction, supervision and inspection from American River College and in 1978 a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Lawrence Technological University. He became a Registered Roof Consultant in 1985.
Alford is a member of RCI, Inc., Construction Specifications Institute, the Texas Association of School Administrators, the Council of Educational Facility Planners International, the Texas Association of School Boards and the Texas Association of Physical Plant Administrators.
