With a more than 25 year career in the roofing industry, Mike Blanchette provides building envelope and roof consulting services to building owners, managers, architects, engineers, contractors and attorneys and serves as an expert witness. He also conducts presentations and seminars about moisture survey techniques, roof system performance, material compatibility and other relevant and current roof-related issues.

From 1981 to 1983, Blanchette worked as a project manager and estimator at Milbrand Company, one of Detroit’s largest roofing, sheet metal and acoustical contractors. He specialized in roof renovation construction using metal, built-up, modified, single-ply and shingle roof systems.

From 1977 to 1981, Blanchette worked at Roofing Consultants, Inc. as design manager. He was responsible for evaluating new roofing materials, managing the design department and supporting major renovation projects.

Blanchette studied at Wayne State University in Detroit and served six years in the U.S. Navy. He is a member of RCI, Inc.; NCRA; Roof Consultants Institute Foundation; North Texas Roofing Contractors Association; Roofing Contractors Association of Texas; Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute and Single Ply Roofing Industry.
