Robb Smith, RRC, RRO, FRCI

With more than 24 years of experience, Robb Smith oversees Amtech’s office in the Seattle area and provides clients with building envelope assessments.

For 14 years prior to joining Amtech in 2003, Smith was a principal at Advanced Roof Technology, Inc., where he provided roof consulting services to a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors. His experience includes time served as a manufacturer’s representative, project manager and registered roof observer.

Smith has investigated more than one million square feet of roofs, developed re-roofing and rehabilitation specifications for hundreds of “roofing and waterproofing only” projects and provided construction quality control observation for many projects.

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Charley, Ivan and Katrina, Smith led one of the teams that investigated roof damage and assisted in the report preparation summarizing the teams’ findings. This was part of a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory in conjunction with the Roofing Industry Committee on Wind Issues (RICOWI).

Smith is a member of RCI, Inc., the Roof Industry Committee on Weather Issues and the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance.
