April 2017 - Amtech's Michael Schroeder participates in IFMA Community Services event for the Central Texas Food Bank

In partnership with the Austin Chapter of IFMA, the Central Texas Food Bank mobile food pantry event was held in Austin on April, 19, 2017. Amtech's Austin General Office Manager, Michael Schroeder, volunteered for the event and helped serve over 8,000 pounds of food which went towards helping 144 families. The Central Texas Food Bank hosts this event every month at this location, working with food donors across the country to help fill unmet needs in Central Texas. A very worthy cause, and congratulations Michael, you are an inspiration to us all!

April 2017 - Colby Borak joins Amtech as a Project Professional

We are pleased to announce the addition of Colby Borak to the Amtech team! Colby comes to us with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from the University of Houston. He has spent the last decade working for several large construction companies, and has been involved in a number of high profile commercial and industrial construction projects. Colby's field experience and ability to interact with contractors, design professionals, peers, and owners will be valuable assets to Amtech. April 2017 - Mike Blanchette receives Lifetime Achievement Award from RCI, Inc

All of us at Amtech would like to congratulate our Vice-President Mike Blanchette, RRC, RRO, FRCI on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from RCI, Inc. (formerly known as the Roof Consultants Institute). Mike has been with Amtech since 1983, and has served as both Treasurer and President of RCI. He was made a Fellow of the Institute in 1999, and is known and respected throughout the country, and amongst his peers, for his technical expertise and continued commitment to improving the roof consulting profession. Congratulations on your award Mike, very well deserved!



March 2017 - TR Hernacki Joins Amtech to Lead Engineering Services Division

We are pleased to announce the addition of TR Hernacki to Amtech's Engineering Services Division. TR holds Professional Engineering licenses in multiple states, is certified by the Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB), and has achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. He brings to Amtech over 30 years' worth of professional experience in structural repair design, fall protection systems testing and design, historic renovation, building envelope evaluation and testing, code compliance, wind and impact protection engineering, and product evaluation engineering for structural code compliance. January 2017 - Eric Droz joins Amtech

Eric joins us from our crosstown competitors in Dallas, the Conley Group, with whom he spent the past 5 years as a QA Inspector. Prior to joining Conley, Eric spent 5 years as a Forensic Architectural Inspector for an engineering consulting firm in Phoenix, Arizona. Eric's path to Amtech also includes time spent as a crew leader and electrician for several residential electrical contracting firms in Phoenix, as well as 3 years as a Forward Combat Tank Mechanic and Tank Recovery and Heavy Wheel Specialist for the United States Army! Eric is a Registered Roof Observer (RRO), and joins the Amtech team in Dallas as a Project Professional. In addition to performing QA inspections, Eric will be heavily involved in building envelope forensics, destructive and non-destructive testing, construction monitoring, and client and project management. Although he is based in Dallas, Eric will support all of Amtech's offices as-needed. We are very excited to add Eric to the team, and he can be reached at ericdroz@amtechsls.com



October 2016 - Amtech Welcomes Kristel Bethel

We are very pleased to announce the addition of Kristel Bethel to Amtech's Dallas office. Kristel has both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and comes to us with 5 years of experience in building envelope assessment, testing, design, and forensic analysis. Kristel was most recently with a national forensic engineering and building sciences consulting firm. She joins us as an Intern Architect, and is currently working towards full licensure. Kristel will immediately provide technical and design support on envelope-related projects, as well as aiding in other project management efforts. October 2016 - Alfred Levy, AIA Joins Amtech's Dallas Team

We are pleased to announce the addition of Alfred Levy, AIA to our Dallas team. Alfred is a highly-skilled Architect and Project Manager, with broad experience in a variety of building types. He brings a proven track record in design, production of construction drawings, LEED commissioning, and interaction with clients, consultants, and contractors. Alfred joins us from our crosstown competitors in Dallas, the Conley Group, with whom he has spent the past 6 years as a building envelope consultant focusing on water infiltration and air permeability issues related to roof, wall, and waterproofing systems. Alfred graduated from the University of Texas, has worked for a number of Dallas-based architectural firms, and has owned and managed his own architectural practice. He is a Registered Architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is NCARB Certified.
